Explosives Division
Today, Al Fajar Al Alamia is a leading name in the industrial explosives, thanks to its manufacturing capabilities, dee understanding of the civil explosive business, markets, storage capacity and, of course, its people.
Manufacturing Facility (Explosives):
Hajarex ANFO Factory (Oman): The company manufactures ” Hajarex ANFO “, the bulk explosives, at its large and well-equipped plant and magazine facilities at Hajar, near Muscat, called the Central Explosives Depot.
Hajarite Emulsion Factory (Oman): The division also manufactures at Hajar Central Explosives Depot ” Hajarite Emulsion ” explosive, a product technologically superior to slurry and other types of cartridged explosives.
Factory in UAE: In order to spread its wings in other countries, the company has a new associate named Geodynamics Mideast LLC in Fujairah, UAE. The new company will operate in the field of manufacturing and trading of industrial explosives in the UAE, based in Fujairah.
Marketing Ancillary Drilling & Blasting Equipment in GCC: Apart from manufacturing explosives, the company markets the safe and efficient non-electrical initiation systems and other accessories such as detonating cords, electric detonators, detonating relays, sourced from reputable manufacturers in different parts of the world.
Drilling & Blasting Division
The Group has the ability to convert opportunities into sound business propositions, which has helped the company to expand its business operations into drilling & blasting sector. Thus, over the years, four companies were acquired to support the Group in its ventures. To provide the best solution, in each associate company comes with a specific area of its expertise in explosives engineering: be it quarrying & mining, or road cutting, or tunneling, or underwater excavation. The Group ensures these companies serve the interests of clients and other stakeholders with the highest standards of responsibility an integrity.

Earthworks Division
The Earthworks Division was formed to complement the already established Explosives and Drilling & Blasting Divisions. With the introduction of Earthworks Division, the Group is now suitably to provide a complete solution to clients in the construction and mining sectors.
The Division provides a reliable and professional service to the valued clients of Al Fajar Al Alamia Group in the most environment friendly manner.
As an emerging leader in its field, the Division is run by a team of highly experienced and qualified professionals who is always strive to provide the best solutions to its valued clients.
The primary activities among other operations of the Division are:
- Excavation, Leveling and Compaction works
- Mechanical Trenching works
- Quarry operations
- Surveying and Estimation
Mining Division
The Mining Division is the bedrock that we expect the future of the Group can be firmly built upon. The focus remains on Oman’s bountiful mineral wealth – gypsum, industrial salt, iron, chromite, limestone and rock products such as aggregate, armour, road base, to mention a few. The division is now operates a Gabbro Mine, and is producing Armour Rock, Road Base Materials, Aggregates and other rock products.
The mine is fully developed with mechanized operations, which are handled professionally by a strong team of experience personnel. The Gabbro produced from the region is of high quality, and has been found to be suitable for use in many industries including Ready Mix plants, Road construction, etc.
The mine is equipped with a 500 tph Metsio Crushing line. The Crushing Line was commissioned in 2019, and it consists of a Primary Jaw Crusher, two secondary Cone Crushers and Two Vertical Shaft Impactors. The Line produces aggregates of 3 different sizes and Crushed Sand. This quarry is one of the only two quarries in Oman having Metso Crush Crushing Plant.
Apart from the fixed Metso Crushing Line, there are also mobile crushers operating in the quarry as listed:

- Terex PowerScreen Chieftain 2100X 3 Deck Screens
Production Capacity:
The present production capacity stands at 150,000 tonnes of aggregates and 50,000 tonnes of crushed sand.
The mine also produces about 100,000 tonnes of Armour Rocks and other rock products.
