Storage Facility
The company’s manufacturing plants and magazines are strategically located, covering entire Oman, enabling suppliers with low lead times and lower logistics cost. Al Fajar Al Alamia owns explosives storage sites at the following strategic locations in Oman and UAE:
- Al Hajar (near Muscat) – 150 tonnes
- Thumrait (near Salalah) – 70 tonnes
- Duqm – 80 tonnes
- Jabal Wassa (near UAE Border) – 100 tonnes
- Sohar – 100 tonnes
- Musandam (Temporary) – 20 tonnes
- Bidbid (Temporary) – 20 tonnes
- Fujairah, UAE – 300 tonnes
Logistics
The company operates the largest fleet of explosives delivery vehicles, and provides logistical support to many oil-well contractors working with PDO (the national oil company) and other oil companies in the import, clearance through air or sea ports, storage, transport to interior locations, off-shore, etc. for all their explosives products.
Rigid safety precautions are required while handling explosives. These products require specially fabricated containers and licensed transport for movement between the networks of specially constructed stores from which sales are made under strict supervision by the Royal Oman Police. The company owns large number of Royal Oman Police Licensed explosives transit containers.
The division has imported, stored and transported explosives on behalf of all most all the oil-well companies in Oman, such as PDO, Schlumberger, Halliburton, ans Baker Sand Control since they started operations in Oman.
The company also provides end-end logistics support for fireworks display.
